Tip is 10 years old and has lived on our “lifestyle” property his entire life.
He is NOT suitable as a farm working dog and will not be sold as one
He is a retired eye dog and loves to follow the chickens around when allowed. He helps move our 4 sheep from paddock to paddock which takes two minutes as the sheep know where the gates are. He dislikes cattle and quads immensely
He enjoys walks in the local parks and beach and although trained to a lead he rarely needs it as he knows his verbal commands and is very obedient to them.
He sleeps in a warm dry shed with a doggy door to access the fenced back yard.
He also sleeps in the house every so often
He requires regular brushing especially this time of year as he sheds his thick winter coat
He has had one meal a day of meat and biscuits in the evening all his life
Tip weighs 30kg. He is wary of strangers at first but soon settles down. He is used to children but isn’t kean on toddlers.
He gets very tuned in to his owner and understands tone and hand signals. Speaking to him as you would to another person is all he needs.
The home he goes to is very important to me. This dog is retired, I am looking to find a comfortable retirement home for him
