Vantucky (VT) is a beautiful 10-month-old boy looking for a female owner in a loving, forever home and family.
VT had a tough start to life, and because of this, he can be cautious around some men (not all). He will thrive in a calm, consistent environment with clear boundaries and patient handling, ensuring that his confidence continues to grow with routine and trust.
He is vaccinated, chipped, and desexed, and has a loving, affectionate nature. VT is excellent with other dogs and really enjoys canine company, particularly older dogs who can help guide and steady him.
VT has a good foundation in basic commands such as sit, stay, and wait. His recall still needs work, so continued training and consistency will be important in his new home.
As VT is still young, he can be curious and cheeky — he’s known to steal slippers, Crocs-style footwear, and plastic items like glasses, remotes, and cups. This is typical puppy behaviour and is very manageable with supervision, redirection, and enrichment.
VT can live with children, provided they are dog-savvy and supervised, especially during play. He can get excited and is still learning his size and boundaries, but with guidance (for both VT and the kids) he has the potential to do very well in a family environment.
VT currently sleeps mostly outside, which he is comfortable with. One of his favourite places to relax is under the house, where he can retreat and feel secure.
VT’s ideal home would offer:
• A female owner with previous dog experience and confidence in training
• A family comfortable supervising interactions with children
• Commitment to ongoing training and routine
• Another dog (optional but a bonus — ideally older and calm)
• A patient, positive-reinforcement approach
Rehoming process:
VT’s rehoming will be carefully managed to ensure the best outcome for everyone involved. This includes an initial conversation, meet-and-greet(s), and a home check where appropriate.
