Wellington region home required.
In April I took in this Vizsla as his family could no longer cope with him. He is a 19 month old, desexed, Hungarian Vizsla with lots of energy and lots to learn.
He requires an experienced home with structure, training, routine and a calm energy to oppose his slightly chaotic nature, remembering he’s still a young Vizsla.
Since I’ve had him he has made significant steps forward and put on some nuch needed weight.
However, the world is big a place for him and so he needs guidnace and training. He gets on well with other dogs but does require a lot of guidance to begin with, and to be told when it’s enough.
I have a lot of different dogs around my home frequently and this is appearing to cause him stress which isn’t ideal or fair and is making his progress harder.
My older Vizsla is also starting to become quite subdude, so unfortunately I don’t think its fair that he stays permanently with us.
He’s a lovely boy and just wants to please. He loves to play ball and tug, enjoys water, sleeping next to you on the sofa, by the fire, and going for runs. He does require a home that is fully fenced and owners that are committed to training.
Medium to large in height, very slender, approx 26kg. Would be best suited to a home experienced with Vizslas or similar breeds.
Unsure on what he is like around children although there was apparently children in the home he came from originally. Would likely chase a cat so requires training if we’re to live with one.
I just think he could be thriving in the right home and although he is way better off than he was, he could be doing so much better.
