Is Indie the right fit for you?
When we took Indie into our family she captured our hearts instantly. You see, Indie’s previous owner was out a lot for work leaving Indie at home alone and anxious and we were in the situation where my husband was working from home full time and I was at home with our third child. Five years on and we find ourselves in the heartbreaking position of not being able to meet her needs. We are out almost every day either with work or after school activities for our children. Indie thrives in an environment where she has constant companionship and will not be left alone for periods of time.
Indie is a poochie who is generous with her heart.
She loves to cuddle up on your lap, shower you with kisses and be your shadow.
She is a very intelligent dog, but that also can lead to her being a bit of a chaos queen. She loves to help herself when she thinks you aren’t looking. Will find herself a bed in any spot whether thats on your favourite blanket or a stack of toddler toys. Her intelligence doesn’t extend to utilizing a doghouse (as seen in photo).
She loves walks and long runs on the beach. She loves the dog park and after an initial moment to work things out will get along well with other dogs.
She is patient and kind with children. She will warn them with a growl if she isn’t in the mood to play. She is wonderful visiting the elderly also.
She is in need, ideally of a couple who are retired or work from home full time and who don’t like to spend much time away from the house. Someone who has experiences with poodles would be great.
She can be a little suspicious of some men at first but my husband was the one to feed her so she warmed up to him very quickly.
She is a wonderful companion and we will all miss her dearly, but it is unfair for her to remain anxiously waiting for us to return.
Indie has a dog bed, leash, collar, bowls, toys, occupying treat puzzle toy, grooming brush, and dog grooming clippers that can come with her.
