Badger is a beautiful young Jack Russell cross with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He is an affectionate, loving companion who thrives on human connection and absolutely loves a good snuggle. Badger is small in size but strong, athletic, and quite beautiful, with a calm and gentle nature that makes him a wonderful companion to have around the home.

He is house trained, up to date with vaccinations, microchipped, and responds well to the come command. Badger is very clever and learns quickly; he already sits and waits patiently for his food and has shown great improvement in a short time. Badger also makes a great little guard dog—alert, loyal, and full of personality.

In his start to life he missed out on early socialisation. Unfortunately, we live on a compound with 3 other little dogs, 7 families and 13 grandkids. Badger can take a little time to warm up to visitors, particularly when they arrive unexpectedly. Once he feels comfortable, he is a loving and affectionate companion. Since coming into our care he has grown immensely and continues to show how trainable and eager to please he is.

Badger does need a home that understands his limitations with other dogs. Due to the lack of early socialisation, he can react defensively to dogs that show aggression toward him. With controlled introductions, experienced handling, and continued positive training, we believe this can improve over time. He would be best suited to a home as the only dog, or with careful, managed interactions.

We are heartbroken to rehome Badger, but we want nothing more than for him to find the loving, stable home he truly deserves—one where he can be the centre of attention and continue to thrive.
