Baillie is a 5 year old shar pai cross English staffy. Unfortunately home life has changed and there wont be anyone home for long periods of time ie 10 plus hours a day. She is a people dog, she loves company, will always be sleeping by your feet no matter where or what your doing. Although she isnt destructive or anything she gets sad so its in her best interest to rehome her. Shes great with children, other dogs and cats. Walks off lead on the beach, doesnt run off and interacts well with others. She has a little arthritis so gets a limp if overwalked. She likes just 10 to 20 mins and doesnt care if she doesn’t go. She not one of those dogs that climbs the wall if not walked. Shes very gentle when it comes to eating food, and you can leave your dinner on the coffee table walk out the room and she wont touch it. She doesnt pull on the lead so easy to walk.
She does get very excited to see you if you have been out for more than 4 minutes. She likes licking faces so will do “fly byes” in the hope she gets some, she is very affectionate and wants nothing more to to sleep on your lap or on the end of the bed, that said like any gorgeous female she is a little psychotic… if you push her away too many times she will find your dressing gown and wee on it whilst looking at you over her sholder….. its only about a spoonfull and is a definite just to scold you reaction.
She is very protective of her family, but isnt a barker other than to come in if the doors shut. She doesn’t bark at other dogs either those walking past the house or barking themselves, shes not scared of fireworks or thunder etc.
She eats dog roll in the morning plus a few scraps at dinner.
I have had up until now a 4 month old, 18 month old and 2 teenagers at home, and hand on heart I completely trust her around them. Shes never shown any signs of aggression except when attacked by another dog about a year ago. She put it in its place and that was that. She didnt bite it just got a stern telling off, talking of which anything bigger than a small egg you need to cut up as she is a bit of a princess and she wont eat it ….😆😍
Shes been desexed, and has just had registration renewed.
