Intelligent and loving 2 year old male border collie.
As you can see by his photos, he is quite the looker and has an incredible personality to match. He’s extremely smart and sometimes you forget you are talking to a dog!
He knows all the basic commands, sit, lie down, shake hands, stay and fetch (when he feels like it). He isn’t the type of border collie to get fixated on ball play and can be content having a full day around home. However, I feel recently that he could have a much better life if he was placed at a lifestyle block where he could adventure all day long – I am in central Auckland and work full time. Though, I do get him out as much as I can since I do love him to bits!
So, I am considering homes that may be suitable for him since I am restricted with my job and my location. I am not in any urgent rush to rehome him, just if the right person/family comes along I will definitely explore it.
He is great and extremely lovable with people but not great with all dogs so would need to be a home without any other dogs or one he got along with. He does currently hang out with another female dog all day who he likes.
Should I find the right home I would like to be able to still visit him occasionally or take care of him while the new family went away on holiday etc.
