I’m searching for a new home for Maui, my 5-year-old desexed male cat. He is an indoor/outdoor cat who mostly does his business outside, but he’s also using a litter box when needed.
Almost a year ago, my partner and I moved in together (we each had 2 cats, making 4 in total). Unfortunately, Maui and my partner’s cats haven’t been able to get along. Maui tends to bully the other cats, which leads to frequent fights. We believe he would be much happier as the only cat in a home.
Maui loves people and is very relaxed when he’s the only pet. He’s friendly with strangers and doesn’t hide when new people visit. While he’s not a super cuddly cat, he enjoys being near you and is often close by. He likes gentle petting but is generally quite independent.
When he was about a year old, he developed urinary crystals, but he was successfully treated and hasn’t had any issues since. I’ve been feeding him a urinary care diet to maintain his health.
I never imagined rehoming him, but it’s reached a point where I no longer believe he’s truly happy here. I’m hoping to find him a peaceful and loving home where he can thrive.
