“Hi! My name is Aki and I am a really great dog. I am a Catahoula Leopard Dog cross. I turn 2 years old on 11/2/26. I am fixed, up to date on my vaccinations and registered with WCC until July 2026. I eat kiwidog branded kibble, Champ tinned wet food and various treats. I am not a picky eater.

I have lots of energy and I love to play… a lot! I am great with other dogs but sometimes I find it hard to calm down. I love running fast, snuggles, long grass and being able to explore. I really don’t like trains, big trucks and motorbikes. I have never shown signs of aggression towards any other dog or human. I am a lovely girl.

The best home for me has some space for me to run around in and maybe even some other playful dog/s that will be my best friend/s. My new owners need to be able to shower me in love and preferably would have experienced owning a dog before. I love children- but my new home can’t have little kids because I find them too exciting to be around! My new home can’t have cats because I can’t relax knowing there are cats in the house.”

Owner here! Aki is a smart dog who needs lots and lots of attention. She has learnt the commands for sit and lie down although ‘lie down’ is not consistent. Aki’s recall is OK at home with no distractions. Aki is house trained and sleeps in a crate. She will come with a lead, harness, collar and toys.

We love our Aki very much and this is a really hard decision for us to have made. Ultimately we think that she can live her best life elsewhere. If Aki ends up with you, you are very lucky indeed.
