Louie is intelligent and full of life. He is learning quickly but still needs more training.
He knows to wait for food and not eat until we tell him. He is also doing well learning to wait for our other dog to finish his food and not try to steal it.
Louie can sit, shake hands and come (as long as nothing else very exciting is happening to distract him), he is good at not jumping on us but is still learning with new visitors.
He loves fetch – he is still learning to bring it back, it takes a couple of go’s for him to remember, and tug rope. He usually let’s go when you tell him.
Louie started going for walks at 4 months old, so is still learning the ropes, he is getting better at not pulling but new smells and areas get him excited. He needs plenty of exercise to keep him calm and not start making his own fun.
He is very playful with our old dog (who doesnt always appreciate that) , but we are unsure what he will be like with other dogs he has not met. On lead, I can deter his attention elsewhere and continue walking but twice now, he has seemed as if he would be agressive. We are inexperienced with that.
He is great with our kids who are 9-14. Loves playing. Small kids his height often get bowled over. He’s a strong dog.
We believe he needs someone who is a firm dog owner to continue training and socializing and can walk him every single day.
We got him without knowing his father. His mother is full British Bulldog. DNA revealed his father is British Bulldog/Staffy/Australian Cattle Dog (heeler). He has little Bulldog traits at all. His personality is quite heeler like.
He is vaccinated, chipped but not yet desexed. He is regularly flea and wormed. Fed good quality food.
