It breaks my heart to write this, but I’m looking for the right forever home for my beautiful boy, Charlie. ❤️
Charlie is a 1-year-old Lowchen Cavalier. I’ve had him since he was 3 months old, and he has been very much loved and part of my family.

❤️ Knows commands including sit, lie down and more

❤️ Has been fed top-quality dry dog biscuits
❤️ Loves people and attention
Charlie has gorgeous colouring. He started out ginger, then became cream, and now he has a beautiful mixture of both. His coat does need regular grooming, particularly during summer.
He is a very social little guy and loves being around people. He can also be quite cheeky and loves chasing birds! 🐦 He is very fast — although thankfully not quite fast enough to catch them! 😂 A secure, safe environment would therefore be important.
Why I’m Rehoming Charlie ❤️
I’ve had Charlie since he was 3 months old, and by now I honestly thought he would have become accustomed to me and my anxiety. I have tried to give him the time, love and stability he needs.
But I’ve noticed that Charlie is at his happiest and most settled when he is with my adult children and friends. He eats really well, relaxes and seems much more content when I’m not around.
I live with anxiety following some difficult life experiences, and I’ve come to realise that Charlie can pick up on how I’m feeling. When I’m anxious or unsettled, he can become unsettled too and sometimes won’t eat.
This has been a really difficult decision because I love him dearly. But I have to put Charlie’s happiness and wellbeing first. I don’t think it’s fair for him to be affected by how I’m feeling, especially when I can see how happy and relaxed he is around other people.
This isn’t about Charlie being a problem. Quite the opposite — he is a wonderful, social, loving little dog. I just want to give him the opportunity to be as happy and settled as he can be. ❤️🐾
🏡 His ideal home
I would particularly love to find him a home where:
• Someone is home a lot, or
• He has another friendly dog for company
• He will be treated as part of the family
• He gets plenty of love, attention and interaction
• He has a safe, secure environment
I will be very particular about who Charlie goes to. I’m not looking for the quickest sale — I’m looking for the right person or family who will love him and make him part of their family for the rest of his life.
