Lily is a 10-year-old Maltese/Yorkie cross, desexed and registered with UHCC. Despite her age, she is very young at heart—active, fit, and full of enthusiasm. She loves her walks and can even keep up on long runs, which is something she really needs and thrives on.
She is quite an anxious wee soul and can be a bit yappy when she’s anxious or excited, particularly around her person. Interestingly, she’s much less concerned around others. Lily is very much a one-person dog and tends to edge toward females, though she has had a few dog friends over the years (this is rare). She isn’t overly affectionate, but will never leave your side.
She has lived with a cat and cohabits well, though she will chase if the cat runs—purely the chase instinct. She travels well in the car and enjoys getting out and about.
Lily has no health issues and has been a very low-cost dog. Like many small dogs, her teeth may need attention at some stage in the future.
What I’m hoping for most is a home where she has company, regular outings and ideally no other dogs (but has lived with a big brother in the past who has been tolerated), and someone who understands and accepts her quirks as part of her personality
