Is it really free to rehome my pet?

Yes. Rehoming listings are always free. Upgrades are optional and only make your listing easier to find.

Can I ask a rehoming fee?

Yes, you can ask a small fee to cover vet costs. It also puts off people who aren’t serious. It stays free to list.

Can I sell a pet?

Yes. Choose Selling when you list. It’s $49.99 incl. GST, you can set any price, and the listing shows a “For sale” label. A whole litter is one listing, and every sale listing is checked by our team first.

How long does my listing stay up?

Your listing runs for 30 days. If your pet still needs a home, you can renew it free in one click from your account.

How quickly does my listing go live?

Most listings go live straight away. Some are checked by a person first, usually within a day.

Can I list a whole litter?

Yes. A whole litter fits in one listing, and you can add up to 3 new listings a day.

Will people see my phone number or email?

No. Adopters message you through Pet Rescue NZ. You choose who to reply to and who to meet.

What happens when my pet finds a home?

Mark the listing as adopted from your account. It shows an Adopted stamp for a week, then comes down.
