5-year-old male Jack Russell Terrier looking for a responsible, dog-savvy home. Located in Rolleston, Christchurch.
He is energetic, intelligent, and full of personality. Desexed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Knows basic commands including sit, lay down, high five, and enjoys playing catch. Requires regular exercise and mental stimulation, typical of the breed.
He is house-trained, toilets outside and also uses newspaper or training pads when sleeping indoors. Well behaved inside the home and does not chew furniture.
Good with kids, however he does not like being disturbed while sleeping and may growl or nip if startled, so a home that respects boundaries is important. He can be selective with other dogs and may show aggression toward small puppies. Careful introductions are recommended. Not suitable for homes with cats. He may bark at birds, passing dogs, and loud equipment such as lawnmowers.
Best suited to an experienced owner who understands terrier behaviour and can provide structure, routine, and ongoing training. Rehoming due to personal circumstances, with priority given to finding the right home rather than a quick placement.
