The lovely Bear needs a home where he can continue his development and be an awesome family pet.
I’ve had Bear for 3 months and realise that he needs more than me and my chaotic house and family. Bear is 1 year old and came from SPCA 3 months ago. I’ve had one to one session and he’s been to a simple manners course for 5 weeks. He’s still learning and that puppy still comes out in him. At other times, he’s a wonderfully cuddly, snuggly dog who gets on great with the kids.
On discussion with the dog trainer, i feel he needs a home that has more consistency – i have my 4 kids half of the time, sometimes just two of them and sometimes none of them so it’s very up and down for Bear. He would also benefit from a bigger property where he can run more, and perhaps a doggy friend. He’s very friendly and sometimes gets overexcited around other dogs through total friendliness. I am also at work long periods and having got to know him, i feel he needs someone at home a bit more than i am. This is the first time i have had a dog and i feel he needs someone more experienced to help his development.
We’ll be sad to see him go, but it’s the right thing for him to thrive. The perfect scenario would be a rural home or bigger garden space, with kids or without, more stability in the home, someone at home a bit more often and either a doggy friend or not.
Not asking any money for him but i also have a lot of his things that can go with him and we can discuss the cost for all of his things.
Happy to chat it through or email more details about him. I’m sure his perfect home is out there, just sadly it wasn’t ours.
