Description

Misa needs a lovely new home where she can enjoy her days with some company around. Our home life has changed and our darling girl needs a human that is home more than we are.

She is a delightful girl who wants to say “Hello” to every human and every dog when she’s out and about . She is always waving her happy tail and loves when we have visitors.

When we are home it’s a busy house, and Misa likes to know what is going on. She loves to play and very happily plays by herself too. She’s great with other dogs, and does a weekly pack walk too. We don’t let her off lead unless it’s a fenced area as she’s still learning to recall (ha ha, selective hearing) but for treats, she’ll bring the ball back!

We do feel she would be great in a quieter household and as the only pet in the house. She has lived with cats her whole life and still doesn’t like them. It’s caused her to ‘huff and puff’ when the cats are around. She can guard her toys too when other dogs are around. Something our trainer thinks is possible to untrain when away from cats/dogs.

Our trainer is also very happy to do a session in your home if you adopt her (that we’ll pay for) to settle her in. She’s very food motivated.

She knows the commands ” walk” “toilet” “time for bed” “shake” “sit” “down” “inside”

Misa is great in the car – she sits in the front, she is good with being left at home (no anxiety) and only sleeps in her crate. She’s not the type of dog to sleep on your bed or cuddle on the couch. She’s quite independent and when she’s had enough she can do a low short growl and sometimes snap. She doesn’t bite but the sound isn’t great. This is also something our trainer knows is trainable out of her. She’s not aggressive, just ‘small dog’ snappy on the rare occasion.

She has grown up with kids around but again, feel she’s better suited to adults or older kids. We have enjoyed having Misa since she was 8 weeks old until now, but her dislike of our cats is a challenge and our busy life means we are not giving her the attention she deserves. She needs to be with people who have more spare time to enjoy her.

She had her teeth cleaned by the vets in January and she has no medical conditions. She loves eating vegetables and we feed her raw meat discs from Pet Stop. Not kibble as it caused her a bit of skin irritation. She is spayed too.

We hope to find a lovely home for her and look forward to you meeting her.
