Straight answers before you say hello. Still unsure? Our Help Centre covers everything from your first message to bringing your new friend home.
Visit the Help Centre →Yes. Browsing, messaging and adopting through Pet Rescue NZ costs nothing. Some owners ask a small rehoming fee to help find a committed home, and it’s always shown on the listing.
Pets settle faster when they go straight from one loving home to the next. They stay with people they know until their new family arrives, with no kennel stress and no waiting.
New listings are screened before they go live, and anything unusual is checked by a person. Always meet the pet in person before paying anything.
Of course. Arrange a meet and greet with the owner through our private messages. Most owners are happy to do a trial visit too.
