Paddy is a 7-year-old Labrador x German Shorthaired Pointer with a heart of gold. He’s the kind of dog who greets everyone like an old friend, and his easygoing, good-natured personality makes him a joy to have around. At 7, he’s in the sweet spot: past the chaotic puppy stage, but still full of life and happy to enjoy walks, play, and adventures.

What he’s looking for
Paddy is a people dog through and through. He loves company, and that’s exactly why he struggles when left alone. He becomes anxious and will cry and whine when he’s by himself. Sadly, this has been affecting our neighbours, and it’s the only reason we’re having to make the heartbreaking decision to rehome him.

The ideal home for Paddy would be one where someone is around most of the day, such as a retired person or couple, someone who works from home, or a household where one person is usually in. A home with a dog-savvy owner who understands separation anxiety, or who is willing to work on gradual alone-time training, would be a bonus. Ideally, he’d go to a home where noise won’t be an issue for close neighbours.
