Meet Joey – a gentle, intelligent cat looking for a home of his own.

Joey came to us as a stray. Our vet has checked him over and found him in good health, estimating his age at three to five years (we think he is probably closer to five). We have had him vaccinated and desexed, and he has been in our care since, and is in good shape now to find his forever home.

Joey is a quiet, peaceful cat with a calm, wise nature, a bit like a wise older brother. He is very intelligent, quick to learn and easy to train, and he picks up routines and habits readily. He has a good, healthy appetite.

Above all, Joey is affectionate. After life on the streets, he craves attention and is truly grateful for a warm home, a gentle pat and some company.

Other pets: As a survivor, Joey tends to take charge around other cats but is not aggressive toward other cats. He would do well as an only cat, or living with a young kitten or a relaxed, adaptable adult cat.

Why he needs a new home: We already have our own cats as well as foster cats, so it is time for Joey to find a family to call his own. We will really miss him very much. He is the most affectionate of all the cats we have, including ours
