Mumma and Ben desperately need a new home
URGENT: Rehoming Bonded Mother & Son Domestic Tabby Cats (Putaruru Area)
With a heavy heart, I am desperately seeking a loving home or foster placement for two rescued cats: Mumma (Female, 8 years old) and Ben (Male, 7 years old).
About them:
Both are desexed and microchipped.
They have been living happily with my elderly mum for several years.
Mumma is very timid and shy around people; she will need an experienced handler and a patient home (she will likely require a humane trap to move her safely).
Ben is her son and her constant companion.
The situation:
Unfortunately, following a bad fall, my mother will not be returning home and is moving into long-term care. The family is unable to take them in, and they are currently living alone in an empty house, being dropped in on just for daily feeds.
I have reached out to local cat rescues, but given how urgent the situation is, I am desperate to find them a safe place to go together. If you or someone you know can offer a quiet foster space, a patient home, or rescue assistance, please send me a direct message.
Thank you so much for reading and sharing.
